I decided to squeeze in a morning photographing shore birds at Fort De Soto Park, south of St. Petersburg. I got there as the gates opened just after sunrise and made my way to North Beach. There were a lot of shore birds, none of which I had much luck with. I decided to just walk the shoreline and get familiar with the bird activity, and enjoy the beautiful white sand and cool breeze. Some folks were shelling and probably finding some nice shells. This spot seemed to be one that would yield good images with repeat visits once one has learned the pulse of the bird life. Fort De Soto is considered one of the Florida’s nicest beaches and I can see why. I’ll definitely be back. Cheers, and thanks for looking!
